  • NFC Playoff Picture.

What are your predictions for the NFC Playoffs?

I say Chicago & New Orleans (hey I'm a homer fan) get the byes. Dallas and Seattle will win their division. After that I think its a complete toss up- and its quite possible a team will make it at 8-8.

Once the playoffs start I think it could be anyone in the NFC. We will find out a lot about the Saints and Dallas this week when they play on Sunday night. Hopefully Colston & Horn play. If they are healthy no one can stop our offense.

its obviously a toss up w/ 4 6-6 teams in the hunt. The Giants have imploded and I cant see them winning out, perhaps Atlanta can if they stop being Cybil, Carolina isnt bad, they shouldve won last night, and Philadelphia has some pretty prevalent weaknesses. Im not sure, except I think the Giants will not be in.

      NFC < AFC

If the conferences were combined, I really don't know if ANY NFC teams would make the playoffs. Chicago, maybe, but they seem to be going downhill offensively right along with Rex Grossman. They need to start Griese if they are going to have a shot.

Damned Panthers, it's painful watching your team come that close then blow it at the end.

I think a lot will be cleared up at the top of the playoff picture this sunday when dallas plays new orleans. Losing Hollis Thomas is a HUGE blow to our defense. But all season long the team has preformed in big games. Always seem to be able to plug in a player when another goes down. That and I'm just not sold on Tony Romo yet. The good thing is- once the playoffs start, it is up for anyone- I dont know if Chicago can win with Grossman playing that poorly (and I don't think they have any backups that are much better).

the NFC just has no team that stands out to me now that Chicago "is what we thought they is.....and we let 'em off the hook!!" Dallas looks good but like you Im waiting for the slipper to fall off. Seattle may be scary now that theyre getting healthy and New Orleans feels like that wild child to me that can be dangerous.

Alexander and Hasselback are back and they have a few weeks before the playoffs start to get back on track. I like Seattles chances. Hell I put $10 dollars down on them to win the Super Bowl at 18:1 odds

                Hey Hawk,

Didn't realize you were a Panthers fan. I live in Charlotte and believe me I can't believe either the Eagles game or the Redskins game. Our O line is terrible and the offensive playcalling is even worse.

How is this for a story though. After staying up late to watch the Panthers/Eagles game Monday night I had to fly to Dallas the next morning early. As I am on the plane halfway to Dallas, I look down at the briefcase of the guy sitting next to me. It had a panthers emblem on it with the name M. Hurney. For those that don't know Marty Hurney is the Panthers GM. I am sure everybody on this BB can appreciate all the questions I had for this guy, starting with are we going to be getting a new O coordinator anytime soon, as everybody in Charlotte is sick of the playcalling. Unfortunatly Marty wanted to sleep on the plane. Once we finally landed I couldn't hold it any longer. I mentioned to him, "rough night last night." He said they didn't get back from Philly until 4am then we had a 9 am flight the next morning. I asked him a couple of questions about the team, but I could tell he wasn't really interested in talking. Sounds like the flight back to Charlotte that night before was a rough one.

Unfortunaly I didn't have the guts to tell him that playing FOF I was able to bring 6 championships to Charlotte with my GM skills. Didn't want to kick a guy when we was down.

                Pretty cool huh?

That's awesome man, I actually have one of Sam Mills' gloves from when I saw the Panthers play in San Franciso about 7 years ago. It was the first pro game I ever got to go to since we don't have teams in Alaska.

I keep kicking myself for not getting out to Charlotte to catch a game when I spent 6 months at Fort Gordon, GA right outside Augusta. Now I may go see a Cardinals game just to check out their new stadium since I'm only 3 hours away.

When I drove here from Georgia last season I stopped over in Houston on a Sunday night. My father and I hit up the Chiefs-Texans game and Reliant Stadium was definitely awesome. The Texans were blew out, and it was funny and sad seeing all the fans with signs about wanting to draft Reggie Bush with 4 games left in the season. We all know how that turned out.

Nice to see another Saints fan on here! If Horn, Colsten, Will Smith, and Hollis Thomas can get back on the field they can definetly get the #2 seed.

                        Where are your tickets at?
