New Civ4 Warlords MP game

Hey Guys,

I am going to try this again. For those of you who are unaware with the Warlords expansion of this game they came out with a program called Pitboss, that allows you to play a MP game with mulitple people. The game will have 24 hour turns and you can log in when you wish to make your turn, instead of what we tried before sending a chain of emails. I am working on setting up a dedicated server for this game, so you should be able to log in for your turns as you wish. You will need to have the expansion game Civ4 Warlords to play. I am planning on starting the game Saturday at noon, so if you are interested please post on this thread with your civ of choice. I will post rules for the game later today.

Is there no other interest? Flasch, when you leave I can either turn on AI control, or you can pre select your ques while you are gone.

This pitboss app is pretty cool, as you can log in when you want, make your turn then after 24 hours or when the last player takes thier turn it will automatically move to the next turn. This way it will automate and keep the game moving. Any player that doesn't make thier plays will be given to the AI. I think this will be fun.

I have also decided to move back the start date until this weekend for those that are intersted. I would like to try to get up to 8 players if we can. PM or post here if you want to play.

Sounds good, if I don't hear from anybody else from USFL I might just go ahead and start a game for other people as well and not limit to just USFL. I will make sure you are added Flasch, what Civ do you want?

Hey Howard,

Can you do me a favor, I am testing the server to make sure you can get through my firewall.

Can you load Civ Warlords, go to multiplayer, choose DirectIP. On the right side under join a game enter my ip 71.68.15.172 and select connect. There is no password. Please select the American's and Washington as your civ. Go ahead and play a turn. When you are done, hit the end turn button just like in a regular game and exit to desktop.

I just want to test this before I go live, I will reset the game so don't worry about this being your first turn.

I plan to start the real game Thursday at 5 pm and will send you more info

Hey Shane,

Not a problem, you can start if you get the expansion and run your civ on AI while you are away, or if you want, I can put you on the reserve list so if somebody drops you can pick up. Up to you. If you do want to start though you will need to pick up the expansion before Thursday.

Hey Howard and Shane,

If you guys still want to play, I have now moved the start back to Saturday at noon eastern. We are planning on doing an accelerated start, which means we will play direct for an hour or two and rip off several turns to get started, then after that it will go to 24 hour turns. Let me know if you guys are still wanting to play.
