The family is planning a Disney trip in November. Anyone have any suggestions for places to stay? There are so many options.

I think it really depends what your priorities are. For us it was space and we wanted a full kitchen so we picked:
http://www.floridaysresortorlando.co...-world-en.html
The positives are the price per sq. feet was fantastic, the rooms are clean, the beds very comfortable.
Downsides:
* Not really a "resort" in the truest sense. There are pools but pretty tame, especially by Orlando standards.
* Shuttle service is not convenient. Also, the shuttle service they picked was not great (one driver was actually fairly annoying). We ended up driving to the parks (and paying for parking) on most days.
If you don't care about the space/kitchen or really want the resort-feel at the hotel or want a convenient shuttle this is not a good choice.
For us though, it matched our priorities and I would definitely stay here again.Michael

That's hilarious, I already booked that place even before I saw your comment. We wanted it for the same reasons you mentioned. My wife was hoping for a decent shuttle, she will be a bit disappointed but hopefully she will live. I would be happy to drive and we already booked a disney resort for the first two nights of the trip.
It makes me feel confident given that you liked it.Dakota Tribe GM

How do the disney tickets work? I got 5 day tickets for the family through air miles but they have no extra perks. I was thinking of adding park hopper to them and maybe extending to 7 day tickets. Can you do that? If so, how? I am not seeing the option.
I seem to remember having the option to upgrade the tickets when we went to Disneyland in LA a couple of years ago.Dakota Tribe GM

you can add the hoppers and add days. You can upgrade them at the park entrance easily. We've been to Disney 20 times over the last 20 years. I'd be more than happy to offer adviceMy books are available at: http://www.amazon.com/Jason-Scott/e/..._athr_dp_pel_1

I have to admit, we'll never stay "off-site" again. We have and we always enjoy just being immersed in the Magic 24/7.My books are available at: http://www.amazon.com/Jason-Scott/e/..._athr_dp_pel_1

I have a 850 sq foot apartment wing. One bedroom 14x14, Master bedroom with shower. Kitchen, Laundry room, and a nice living area with a 47 inch flat screen. Wii and Game cube is connected. A double size Aero bed, with comfortable leather couch and love seat. The couch can sleep a 300+ pound man. It also has its own front door. I am 12-15 min from Disney.
If you have anytime and the Hotel has bar lets meet up.sigpic
If I say a player is off limits, what I really mean is make me an offer.

I took my then girlfriend, now wife, in 1995. We've went again for our honeymoon and now so many times that when we get there it feels like going home. Some would say we have a problem. lol. I was a huge Braves fan in the 90s, but was never there for spring training.Originally posted by agrimsley View PostAs a 21 year old, I spent a week following the Braves during spring training at Disney. This remains my only trip to that side of the Atlantic! My books are available at: http://www.amazon.com/Jason-Scott/e/..._athr_dp_pel_1
