Hey everyone, thought I'd poke in and say hey, saw FOF7 on Steam and remembered the good old days in the USFL. Hard to believe my account is still here, and that I registered it in 2006. Flasch, you're a fiend! Glad to see the Golden Hawks still representing.

How goes the league and the game?

we're full finally. steam brought in new blood. We're plugging away. Lives have changed quite a bit but a core of guys are still here from forever ago and Chad's back. Im pretty stressed out RL and all but I plug away. Kinda like being on a daily treadmill. I need a vacation but if its with the kids im not sure that counts.

Hey Hawkster,

I'd say the new game has done a nice job of creating a more balance experience. The new financial model forces teams to make tough choices and there will never be the type of super talented teams we saw in 2k7. Drafting is more of a crap shoot which certainly gives a more realistic feel and it seems homefield advantage matters more. Probably the biggest downside with the new game would be the staff draft which in theory is a cool idea put the implementation has been really poor.

Hah, glad to see not everything has changed. I'd love to get back in, but it'd have to be post-summer at the earliest, in the middle of a career transition and no longer in the Army and it looks like I'll be moving from Seattle to Michigan. Once I get settled down I'll see if I can commit the time to it again, I wouldn't want to half-ass it. Maybe I can work out a swap with the current Minnesota GM in a few months Can't let Champaign or Denver keep winning. That'd be a crime.
